Six Navy Submarines Begin Refit Programme

The Indian Navy has begun the process of upgrading its four Sindhughosh-class (Russian Kilo) and two Shishumar-class (German HDW) submarines. The life extension and refit programmes, will significantly enhance their combat worthiness.
